DESCRIPTION:Deep South COVID Free Red Star Aviation Gathering.  \nThe very generous\, welcoming and I must add… Handsome Red Star gang at Leeward Air Ranch\, Rich Langer\, Mike Peters\, Matt Lazar\, Kevin Campbell\, Gus Nisivoccia and others want to invite all Red Stars to an aviation gathering at Leeward Air Ranch 12-14 June.  \nThe basic schedule is below\, but particularly important for you to RSVP to Rich “Smiley” Langer\, 352-454-6905 \nThe Mission: FLY FLY FLY \nArrive Friday:  \nIf before noon lunch will be provided. Fried bologna sandwiches! Fried green tomatoes! Fried dill pickles! Fried something\, fried everything. This is the South! \nRegistration and briefing on local area and procedures. \nDinner: On your own at a local restaurant\, transportation provided. \nSaturday:  \nRegistration and Safety Briefing on local area and procedures. \nLunch (no host) at Williston Airport (X60\, 122.975) Fuel price as of today is $2.82.                      \nDinner Catered in the hangar with music and “Awards.” Dinner will the Ladd Gardner Aviation Insurance and RPA Membership Appreciation Dinner. “Awards” will be a modified but still spirited twist on the Dirty Santa game. \nSunday:  \nMaybe a morning flight\, then departures for home. \nImportant Notes: \nAll pilots must review the Traffic Pattern and Rules and Regulations before using the airport. \n\nIdentifier: FD04 (Foxtrot Delta Zero Four)\n11 nm on the 118° radial from the Ocala VOR (113.7 OCF)\nCoordinates: 29°05.6’N and 82°02.0’W\nRunway 18-36: 6200′ x 165′ – Pilot Controlled Lighting on 122.6\nRight Traffic for Runway 18\nCTAF – 122.9\nFuel is not available to other users.\nVisitors should park next to the red roofed building near the north end of the runway on the west side. Or as directed by your guest.\nLeeward Air Ranch is a Private Use Airport and use is by invitation only. Please call the property owner you are visiting (Rich “Smiley” Langer   352-454-6905) or the Leeward Air Ranch office at 352-245-7007 to request permission to land.\n\nGround transportation is provided. Beer\, soda and water provided. \nThere is no fuel at Leeward so plan ahead. Cheap fuel within 15 minutes of Leeward at Williston for $2.82. \nThere is no charge for the event. The only costs will be Breakfast at the hotel\, Lunch at Williston Airport\, and Dinner Friday evening. \nHotels\, if you so choose\, and fuel.
