Sikorsky Thanks Vets, Offers Free Breakfast on July 27

Discounted veterans, active military admission made possible thanks to helicopter expert

Sikorsky is joining EAA in saying thank you to the courageous men and women who have served our country proudly by offering a free breakfast to all veterans on Friday, July 27, to kick off AirVenture's day-long "Salute to Veterans" festivities. The breakfast will take place at 8 a.m. in the large tent adjacent to the PHP Pavilion, located near the Main Gate.

All veterans are welcome to attend; however, reservations are required and can be made online.

In addition to the breakfast, Sikorsky has also graciously sponsored the discounted admission rate for veterans and active military personnel throughout all of AirVenture 2012.

Veterans and active military who are not EAA members may purchase advance tickets online for only $31, nearly 25 percent off regular price tickets. EAA-member military personnel will continue to enjoy the EAA-member rate, the lowest adult admission rate available to the event.

As military and commercial helicopter experts, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation shares a strong connection to the United States military, supplying helicopters to all five branches of the armed forces.

"Over the years, Sikorsky helicopters have brought thousands of solders home from harm's way," said Mike Mudd, manager of Sikorsky Government Business Development. "It is only fitting that Sikorsky Aircraft extends its thanks to our servicemen and women here for their service to our country, with a gesture of kindness that recognizes their sacrifices. We are honored to participate in this salute to our veterans here at AirVenture."
