A-1 Skyraider Crashes in Idaho
    March 11, 2011 -
A 1952 Douglas A-1 Skyraider crashed in a remote portion of the Idaho-Utah border Tuesday (March 8) killing owner Danny Summers and passenger and fiancée Jodi Wyatt. The aircraft had departed from Wendover, Utah, bound for Idaho Falls, Idaho, the area where both aircraft occupants live. Brad DeBow, manager of the Legacy Flight Museum in Rexburg, Idaho, told that the farmer was a skilled vintage aircraft pilot and the plane he was flying once was a National Guard plane used in radar operations during the Cold War. Summers had been an EAA and Warbirds of America member in the past and brought his Skyraider to AirVenture in 2003.
