NASG Museum “Top Guns of “43 Event

    Glenview, Illinois - The Glenview Hangar One Foundation is celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the making of "Top Guns of '43". This film is the most comprehensive documentary on a little known but, very important part of aviation history. On Sunday, November 9th  the Foundation is honoring John Davies, the producer/director who created the film telling the story of the only fresh water carrier operations and the thousands that went on to write history during WWII.

    This special evening will feature a showing of the film during dinner. This will be followed by a presentation by John and those who created the film. The Foundation hopes to have veterans who qualified aboard the Lake Michigan carriers Wolverine and Sable to share in the celebration

    All proceeds from this event and auction will go to support the Naval Air Station Glenview Museum. The Museum has been established by the Foundation to commemorate the people and the mission of NASG though education of its important 58 year history.
