CALLING ALL MEMBERS!
    NOTICE OF ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING AND ELECTION

    In accordance with the bylaws of the EAA Warbirds of America Inc., Article
    X, paragraph (b), Notice of the annual meeting, which shall be held at the
    annual Convention of the Experimental Aircraft Association Inc., shall be
    given by notice published in the official publication of the corporation or
    in the official EAA magazine at least 30 days before such meeting. Such
    notice shall include the agenda.

    Notice is hereby given that the annual business meeting of the organization
    will be held at 6:00 p m. on Thursday, July 27, 2006, at the Warbirds
    Briefing Building, Wittman Regional Airport, and Oshkosh, Wisconsin. All members
    in good standing are welcome to attend this general meeting.

    Agenda items will include the secretaryıs Minutes from the 2005 annual
    meeting, treasurerıs report, presidentıs report, Government Affairs report,
    Safety Committee report, Membership Services Committee report, Warbird
    Squadron report, Memberıs Open Forum, and election of directors.
    In accordance with the bylaws, Article XII, paragraph (b), The Board of
    Directors shall be elected through nominations made by the Board of
    Directors acting as Nominating Committee of the whole Such nominations shall
    be made and published to the general membership at least thirty days prior
    to a general meeting. Biographies and photos of the candidates for the board
    of directors are included with this notice.

    Vic Barrett
    Graduating from the University of Texas at El Paso with a bachelorıs degree
    in business administration, Vic is a certified public accountant.
    Earned his private pilot certificate in 1981 and now holds a commercial
    certificate with multiengine and instrument ratings. He owns a Beechcraft
    T-34B and a Cessna L-19 Birddog. Vic is a member of the T-34 Association and
    a FAST qualified formation leader, a Class I director and treasurer/comptroller of the EAA
    Warbirds of America; he serves on the Executive, Membership Services, and
    Finance committees.

    Vic is a founding member and past president of Warbirds Squadron One in Tennessee
    and is a founding member and past president of EAA Chapter 957, Smoky Mountain
    Aviators, in Sevierville, Tennessee. Vic resides in Sevierville, Tennessee with his wife, Myra.
    He is in the family entertainment business with business interests in several states.

    Jack Harrington
    Jack is vice president of business affairs for the Eclipse Aviation Corp. He is a member of
    the EAA Legal Advisory Council and a member of the EAA board of directors. He has authored
    articles on aviation legal matters for the American Bar Associationıs Air & Space Lawyer and EAA
    Sport Aviation. He is a presenter at aviation safety seminars on pilotsı rights and FAA enforcement
    policy.
    Jack is a member of the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association, the Aviation Insurance Association, the
    National Business Aviation Association, and the National Transportation Safety Board Bar
    Association. He holds a commercial pilot certificate with airplane single-engine land and sea,
    multiengine, and instrument airplane ratings.

    Dr. Michael Schloss
    Michael Schloss is a practicing cardiologist in New York City and a
    professor of medicine at the New York University School of Medicine.
    Growing up in western New York state, Mike attended Syracuse University and
    subsequently attended medical school at the State University of New York.
    During his second year of residency at New York University Medical Center,
    Mike took five months off to work for the Catholic Medical Mission in Kenya.
    While working in a remote hospital in northeast Kenya, he was first introduced to
    general aviation through the Flying Doctor Service, and he was hooked. Upon his
    return to the United States in 1973, he started taking flying lessons at Teterboro Airport.
    After accumulating 500 hours, he had purchased and partially rebuilt a Stearman, which
    he took to Oshkosh in the mid-1970s. Deciding then to purchase a T-6, Mike spent five
    months searching for a suitable airplane but instead bought three truckloads of parts
    and spent five years putting his T-6 together. He flew this Texan to Oshkosh in 1980 and
    was awarded the Best T-6 trophy.

    Mike currently owns and flies a Douglas AD-4 Skyraider and has logged more than 3,900
    hours of flying time. He also has acquired an A&P and IA along the way.

    Mike has worked as a warbird aircraft judge at Oshkosh from 1986 to 1998 and acted as
    chief judge from 1994-98. He has served as both secretary and vice president of Warbirds
    of America and was elected president of the organization in July 2000.

    Jim Tobul
    Jim started flying airplanes at a very young age; at the age of 9 his dad
    taught him to fly a Stinson 108. He received his pilotıs certificate in the
    late 1970s, and his first airplane was a 1957 Piper Apache. From there the
    flying time continued with the guidance of his father. Jim was fortunate to
    acquire 375 hours in a Chance Vought F4U-4 and has been flying his North
    American SNJ-4 since the late 1970s. Currently, Jim owns a number of planes:
    North American SNJ-4, North American SNJ-5, Stinson L-5, C-152, Mitsubishi
    Mu-2B40 Solitaire, and a very rare ³Inflatoplane² built by Goodyear Aircraft Co.

    Jim is a member of the North American Trainer Association and currently
    serves as vice president of FAST, which is the controlling body on formation
    flying in air shows. Also, he flies a B-25 on the air show circuit.

    Jim lives in Bamberg, South Carolina, and he has two boys. He is president of
    Tobul Accumulator, Inc., which manufactures hydraulic accumulators in
    Bamberg, South Carolina.

    Fred Womack
    Prior to his retirement in 1993, Maj. Gen. Fred D. Womack had a distinguished career
    in the aviation industry. Fred received his undergraduate degree in 1963 from Tennessee
    Wesleyan College in Athens, Tennessee, which served as a launch pad for a dual career
    with both the airlines and the military. Today he holds the post of vice chairman of the
    board of Trustees at his alma mater.

    His airline career with Piedmont Airlines began in 1967 as a first officer, attaining the rank
    of captain in 1974. Fred was selected to be the director of flight operations and safety in 1979
    and held that position until his retirement. During his career he also served as chairman of
    the Air Transport Association Flight Systems Integration Committee. This prestigious
    committee, which required a working relationship with the FAA, dealt with cockpit design,
    human factors, and new and future technologies. Another highlight of his career was being
    named project manager for development and implementation of TCAS (Traffic Alert and
    Collision Avoidance System).

    During his military career, Fred held many leadership positions. He completed U.S. Air Force
    undergraduate pilot training in 1966, returning home to the 134th Fighter Interceptor Group.
    Before being named commander of the Tennessee Air National Guard, Fred served as flying
    safety officer, instructor pilot, group operations officer, chief of command control post, and aircraft
    maintenance officer. In 1984, Fred graduated from the Air War College. He has received numerous
    awards and decorations through the years, including the Distinguished Service Medal and the
    Tactical Air Command Aircrew Achievement Award. Fred has been a command pilot with more than
    20,000 hours in the T-37, T-38, KC-97, KC-135, M-404, YS-11, and Boeing 737 and 767. During his
    last three years he served as the assistant to the commander of the Air Education and Training
    Command.

    In his retirement, Fred has remained active in the aviation arena. He served as a senior consultant
    for the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). As a long-time member of EAA, Fred currently
    serves on the board of directors of Warbirds of America. He has restored, and enjoys flying, his T-34
    and is also a former board member of the T-34 Association. Fred and his wife, Teresa, have three
    children and currently reside in Loudon, Tennessee.
