This will be the fourth year of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh’s increasingly popular Warbirds in Review, daily, in-depth presentations featuring some the world’s most significant military aircraft and the people who flew them. (Or in some cases, pilots who continue to fly them!) Chairperson Connie Bowlin is still finalizing the details but provided us with a sneak preview of aviators and aircraft that have committed to appear during the July 24-30 gathering at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Those currently scheduled to appear include: General David Lee “Tex” Hill, Flying Tiger and the P-40 Colonel C.E. Bud Anderson, World War II Triple Ace, with the P-51 Mustang Old Crow, joined by P-51 owner and NASCAR team owner Jack Roush; Dick Rutan, Voyager world flight pilot and Vietnam combat pilot with an F-100; The Disabled Veterans Association and a B-25; The Lone Star Flight Museum’s Hawker Hurricane. “I'm very close to finalizing the arrangements for some very special presenters and aircraft that will make this the most exciting Warbirds in Review we’ve ever had,” Bowlin said. “So stay tuned!” Warbirds in Review presentations are held twice each day during EAA AirVenture, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Presentations take place just south of the Warbirds Café near the EAA Ford Tri-Motor.
