National Warbird Operator Conference Lands in Orlando, FL on February 2006.
    January 13, 2006 - The 13th National Warbird Operator Conference (NWOC) will be held at the Holiday Inn- Universal in Orlando, FL on February 23-26, 2006. Founded in 1993, the annual NWOC event brings together hundreds of warbird operators, owners, technicians and museum directors to discuss common issues related to the changing economics, operations, safety issues and regulations pertaining to owning and operating ex-military aircraft.

    NWOC is held in a different city each year around the country to maximize the opportunities NWOC participants will have to network with other warbird operators and owners and tour various warbird aviation facilities, related businesses and museums.

    Up-to-date information on specific issues critical to both warbird owners and operators.

    FAA Medical Issues
    Information by top FAA medical personnel on various issues important to pilots operating high performance warbird aircraft.

    Warbird Insurance
    Representatives from leading warbird insurance underwriters and brokers share advice on effective ways to manage and control insurance costs.

    Aging Aircraft
    Various presenters will share information on how to preserve and extend the life of aging warbird aircraft. This will include corrosion control and the proper use of cleaners.

    Engine Panel
    The top warbird engine experts will be on hand to discuss the latest in powerplant operation and maintenance.

    Safety and Equipment
    Presenters will discuss safety equipment and its’ proper use to insure the highest level of safe operations plus other safety related topics.

    Guest Speakers
    Guest luncheon speakers will present interesting accounts of warbird aviation.

    Numerous breakout sessions and workshops
    Organized break-out sessions feature type and group specific agendas. This remains a very popular draw to the NWOC Conference.
